Local Home Deliveries

Prices for home delivery quoted on this website relate to the following postcodes:

HX, HD, OL14 and most of BD postcodes (see Clean Air Zone section below). Some of the further afield West Yorkshire BD postcodes, and all North Yorkshire postcodes are excluded from our ‘Local Home Delivery’ prices. Please telephone the office for the delivery charge for your area.

We are able to deliver to areas on the outskirts of these boundaries, however, they will incur an additional delivery charge. Please contact us for a quotation.

All local home deliveries are made using our own transport and there is a minimum delivered order value of £50.00.

*Please note ‘Delivered’ means onto your property. Long carries or steps will not be undertaken. Please contact us for more information.

CLEAN AIR ZONE (BD postcodes) – Delivery Surcharge

Due to the Clean Air Zone charges we are now facing, we will be adding on a Clean Air Zone surcharge on to most BD postcodes. This may mean that although you may not be in the clean air zone, we may have to travel through it to get to you. You will be advised of this when ordering.

Nationwide Delivery

Bagged – national delivery

We can arrange for any of our goods to be delivered on pallets throughout the country. Bags are stacked and wrapped onto the pallet.

Loose Loads – national delivery

Loose goods are supplied in Dumpy Bags (90 x 90 x 90cm) on pallets then wrapped. Quotes based on full bags only.

Before you enquire please consider the following:

Vehicle size:

Please be aware that this service is provided by a national pallet distribution network and depending on your location and what vehicles each depot has, means that we cannot say what type of vehicle will be used. Therefore, any knowledge of unsuitable sized vehicles needs to be stated at the outset. N.B. Access restrictions include: Low bridges en route; narrow lanes; any roads/lanes saying ‘unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles’ etc.

Property & Access Restrictions:

In addition to the vehicle size, any access restrictions to the property must also be checked and discussed at the time of ordering. These include:

  • Is there a private driveway? Is the entrance suitable for heavy goods vehicles? Is there room to turn around? Is the driveway on a slope?
  • Would the main road be blocked by the driver having to park at the roadside? Would this have to be unloaded from the roadside? If so, would it be possible for the driver to unload the pallet and bring onto the property with a small hand pully truck? If there is a raised kerb edging, then the answer to this is No!
  • Are there any manhole covers which may not be avoided?
  • Any other points to be noted?

N.B. Once goods leave our premises they are out of our hands, therefore as much information as possible with regards to the delivery must be given at the time of order.

Palletline Service – Economy 2/3 Day Service

The service we generally use is the economy 2-3 day service. Unfortunately, we have no control over which day they will deliver, therefore it is vital that we are provided with:

  • A daytime contact telephone number (both landline and mobile if available)
  • A full postal address, including postcode
  • Access restrictions (as stated above)

It is preferable that somebody is in to receive the delivery. Goods will be taken off the vehicle and left at the nearest point the vehicle can get to. Goods are unloaded with a tail lift, then a pully truck, therefore the driver is not allowed to move the pallet any distance with the pully truck.

Palletline Service – Next Day Service

There is also a next day service available. This is more expensive but is very reliable. If you require a next day service please state this when making your enquiry.
