Aggregates - In this section:

River Sand - Also known as sharp sand - used in making concrete and also used in seed composts and in very clay soils to improve       drainage.   This sand is washed and is lime and salt free.
Building Sand - As it's name implies, this sand is only used for mixing with cement and water for walling and bricklaying.   Must not be used in composts or in soil.
Play Sand - This sand is very soft and pinkish in colour.   It makes an excellent play pit, being salt and lime free.   It is also used for dressing lawns where it helps drainage and can also help prevent moss growth.
Silver Sand - This sand is also soft and can be used in play pits.   It is also mixed with cement and water to make mortar for pointing brickwork and stone.

10mm Washed Pebbles - These are small round edged multi-coloured pebbles.   Used as a cheaper option for making a garden path.
20mm Washed pebbles - Same as above, only larger.   Can also be used with river sand and cement with water, to make concrete.
20mm Limestone Chips - Used on paths and alpine planters around plants.
Packed in sealed 25kg bags.

10mm Gold Chips - Used for paths and around plants/planters, etc..
30-40mm Dorset Pebbles - Very ornamental, naturally multi-coloured.   Used on paths and water features.
40-80mm Gold Chips - Used for paths and around plants/planters, etc..
Horticultural Grit - Used in home-made composts for alpines, etc...   Pinkish in colour.
Blue Slate Mulch - Made popular by gardening features in magazines and television.
